- It began as a personal project, collecting and analyzing sold Portland Leather Good listings to understand fair pricing.
- The results were so helpful that it quickly became clear other sellers could benefit too.
- Today, Leather Ledger continues to grow, with the goal to be powered by both public resale data and community contributions.
How We Make the Data Reliable
Our insights are built on accurate, verifiable resale information, primarily from Treet listings, with a very small portion drawn from observed BST sales and my own limited sales history.
From there, Leather Ledger does the heavy lifting to transform messy resale data into accurate insights by:
- Standardizing products so listings resolve to the correct bag
- Organizing colors to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Clarifying missing details like size, style, and special notes
This process ensures the numbers you see are clean, accurate, and ready to guide smarter resale decisions.
